Comment
The enzyme also catalyses formyl transfer from 5-formyltetrahydrofolate to L-glutamate. In eukaryotes, it occurs as a bifunctional enzyme that also has formimidoyltetrahydrofolate cyclodeaminase (EC
4.3.1.4 ) activity.
