Melanoma-astrocytoma syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant tumor predisposition syndrome characterized by association of cutaneous malignant melanoma and tumors of central nervous system, generally astrocytomas. This syndrome is caused by inactivating germline alteration of the CDKN2A tumor suppressor gene.
