Isolated from the soil sample collected from the ploughed layer (about 10 cm in depth) of a rice field in the Rice Breeding and Crop Science Research Institute of Yamagata Integrated Agricultural Research Centre of Japan (38 deg 45 min N, 139 deg 54 min E, 10-12 m above sea level).
