Isolated from a xenic culture of the heterolobosean protist established via enrichment of bottom sediment from the central basin of the saline Lake Hiruga (35 deg 36.212 min N, 135 deg 53.349 min E; water depth approximately 39m) in Fukui, Japan, in December 2015.
