Description
Distal myopathy with rimmed vacuoles (DMRV) is an autosomal dominant distal myopathy. It has been reported that mutations in SQSTM1 cause this disease. SQSTM1 is an autophagic adaptor that shuttles aggregated and ubiquitinated proteins to the autophagosome.
