CommentRifampicin and fusidic acid resistant derivative of OG1.
OG1 is a human isolate subsequently shown to cause dental caries in rats.
Shown to be as virulent as V583 in the model host Caenorhabditis elegans.
Readily transformable by electroporation, and non-resistant to commonly used antibiotics, other than rifampicin and fusidic acid.
